The giant white Bird of Paradise is an undervalued plant. It is very hardy in many positions. Used as an interior plant, it will perform very well in most situations where light is adequate. The large dramatic leaves give a tropical effect wherever it is used. The huge flowers can be used as a base for dramatic tropical effect in floral arrangements.

Can be used indoor as mentioned above, but will also grow very well in a large container even in exposed positions on patios or balconies. Some shelter from wind for the large leaves is needed or they get shredded. As a garden plant, plenty of space is important as it will grow into small tree proportions growing up to 10m in height and 5m in width. The magnificent white and blue flowers are dramatic and eyecatching.
