In 1990 these iconic Native American images were faithfully reprinted from the original Curtis negatives to closely match his coveted Goldtone prints (Curtis referred to them as "Curt-Tones" since he pioneered the process himself). These special prints were expertly matched for tonality and color yielding a print that is uniquely pleasing to the eye. Condition of this plate is excellent and it would frame up nicely for display.
