It removes all information from previous use, formats HDD and also clears out system Flash memory, old system files and other redundant info this way making the unit Fresh New like straight from the Factory. If some unsafe hacked software is overwritten on top of old one, older system files usually conflict with new software information causing the unit not working properly, mulfunction or bricking over the time. • Before sending the unit to a customer we will code it enabling all MAIN features for easy Plug & Play installation. So usually it is Plug & Play installation and no need to go to the dealers and have a huge expenses

After the unit is loaded with the factory software, all its settings and parameters are set to 0. So we code all units that we sell with Genuine Ross Tech diagnostics tool (Vag-Com, VCDS) enabling all main features to work (eg Multifunction Steering wheel controls (MFSW), Multifunction display (MFD), Parking sensor system, Voice control, CD Changer, correct DVD region for the customers country, etc.), this way making the installation for a customer as easy as possible. Rear view camera and Sound system features are not coded by default, because in case of wrong coding it would give black screen or no sound at all from the unit. So if you have a rear view camera in your car or a Sound system (Dynaudio or VW sound system with the amplifier), write us and we will code enabled.
If you will be buying from a sellers who are not professionals, you will get a unit with previous car coding. In such case the unit will not function your car properly. Some features will not work due to wrong coding. So you will need to take it to a dealer to code adapt to your car specifications which is expensive service.
