Antique Original Monkey Jack In The Box. Condition is "Used". Probably early 1900's.

Monkey head has painted features, made of composition and wearing crepe paper clothes.

Wooden box, covered in colorful paper has front paper showing a child with goose.

Minimal wear on paper covering 3 1/2 inch square wooden box.

Wire hinges on lid which opens and closes. Lid has tape along hinge....perhaps an early repair?

Small nail on lid and string loop on box for holding closed.
