Essential for the collector of - or dealer in - Cinderella stamps of the World

THIS CD contains all 860 pages of Cinderella Stamp Price Lists published by Bill Hornadge (Review Publications) between 1990 and 2000, scanned and re-published as a fully searchable PDF on CD-ROM.

I worked with bill for many years in Dubbo NSW, and edited ''Stamp News'' magazine as well as the ASC Catalogues. Bill founded Stamp News and the once massive Seven Seas Stamps.

Cinderella and Local stamps and the like were among Bill's philatelic passions - he had many - and he produced many Cinderellas, especially Post Stamps himself during his illustrious career.

These 860 pages cover Australia and world Cinderellas and as the prices quoted were Bill's retail, they do give a handy guide to relative value. An essential guide.

About the Cinderella CD

Between 1990 and 2000, veteran Australian stamp dealer, author and publisher, the late Bill Hornadge, compiled some 860 pages of detailed, illustrated listings of Cinderellas including revenue stamps of the world which he disseminated as Price Lists approximately twice a year under his Review Publications imprint.

With Bill's permission, I had his Cinderella price lists scanned page-by-page, edited and re-published digitally in browsable, fully searchable and print-enabled PDF format on a single CD-ROM.

The PDF reader is freely and easily downloadable from the Adobe website and its address is provided together with helpful notes about maximising the CD user's experience.

In addition to Bill's regular price lists (he produced an average of around two each year), I have included his descriptive and illustrated price list of Craig Miyamoto's Pineapple Posts of Hawaii.

Whilst the information contained was originally compiled as a price list of Bill's retail Cinderella stamp stock, much of the detail is unavailable anywhere else and so forms an invaluable reference for collectors and dealers alike.

I have been fortunate enough to have obtained a quantity of Bill's Cinderella stock over the years.

Accessing the information contained on the CD is easy with Adobe's PDF reading software. It is possible to browse page by page or to use the powerful search engine to find any reference term. It is also possible to print off any specific page or pages.

During publication of the original lists in the 1990s, Bill changed the page size slightly as well as the paper quality. To make the whole consistent, the scanned content has been centred on A4-size (210x297mm) pages.

On a very few pages of the earlier price lists and the Pineapple Posts list, there are some black dots or missing text - this is because, for several editions, reference copies that had been hole-punched for storage in a ring binder were scanned.

What is presented on the CD was in fact put together from three different sources of the original lists, for the sake of completion and maximising quality. Scanning of some pages proved difficult due to the opacity of the paper and the presence of pen or other notations by previous users.

Illustrated above are a few pages from the original printed price lists to give some idea of the fascinating content and scope of Bill's lists.
