Out-of-print, hard-to-find paperback catalog book, with 800+ pages, from Maremont Exhaust System Products, Loudon Tenn.

Asbestos References:

From the inside of the front cover "Maremont quality means Maremont exhaust systems products are the finest money can buy. They are expertly engineered, with the quality features and innovations you've come to expect from Maremont: rolled end caps; optimum use of asbestos; rigidly supported end tubes........". This indicates many of the mufflers and exhaust systems were made with asbestos.

From the diagram for muffler design it calls out asbestos lined when required to keep heat in the muffler to help evaporate the condensate. Mechanics working in the auto repair business could have been exposed to asbestos dust when fixing or replacing exhaust systems.

The exhaust systems listed in this catalog were available for numerous passenger car and light truck manufacturers (Ford, Chevy, General Motors, Dodge, International, Chrysler, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, etc.) and more. Book contains diagrams, part numbers and part identification for many vehicles.

Book Condition:
The book is in GOOD condition!! The book has normal wear and moderate soiling from use with no loose pages. There may be a few locations of writing but nothing drastic. The pages have some browning due to age. It's still a good book with plenty of life left in it!!
