Up for bids is a beautiful pair of Art Pottery Vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Magnolia" and it is in the ever Popular Green background Glaze. The Vase stands 6 1/4" tall and is 6" in diameter at its widest point which is the bottom handles outside measurement. The top opening is 3" inside diameter and 3 5/8" outside diameter.

These Vases displays a nice form, they have a cylindrical shape that sits on a round foot with triangular buttress style handles at the bottom. The Vase has a very pleasing 2 toned green textured background glaze. This seems to resemble bark from a tree. It is further embossed with large off White and Pink Magnolia Flowers. The centers of the large flower match the bud in glaze color on one side. The pattern is different on the opposite side as it displays 2 large embossed Magnolia Flowers with pink flower centers. They ar considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. Both are signed on the bottom in raised relief "Roseville U.S.A." and the mold number 87-6" also in raised relief. One vase has a large letter "O" and a 3 written in a Blue grease pencil or glaze and the other has "B" and 22. This was more than likely the finisher's mark. The vase is extremely clean as you can see. Both were made in 1943 during World War II. Those of you who collect this pattern and want a nice example need to look past the rare and wonderful pair. This pair is an excellent example in both form and Glaze combinations. Here is your chance to own a pair for the price of one.
