*Found in a 19th C. Map Chest from a Multi Generational Family of Boston Surveyors.
Up for Sale is a Civil Engineer/Surveyor's Trace Negative dated 1874. Survey features a Plan of Land Surveyed for John Elston of Somerville, MA. Lot is on Cherry St and the back neighbor is J. Tufts.
Great Conversation Piece and a Must have for an Employee of this Area.

Nice Piece to matte and frame.
Trace Negative - Back in the olden days, master drawings were traced onto large sheets of transparent film. These master prints were then laid over paper prepared with Potassium Ferricyanide and Ferric Ammonium Citrate to create an insoluble Prussian Blue background for the prints.
