1Kg Soy wax / Soya Wax Flakes 100% Pure, Clean Burning, No Soot, Natural Soy Wax

What is soya wax?
Soy Wax is produced from the oil derived from soya beans. This soy oil is then purified and made stable at room temperature. This soya wax is guaranteed to contain no animal products, paraffin, petroleum or beeswax. Soy wax is fully biodegradable and contains no pesticides or herbicides.

Why should I use soya wax?

  • Soya wax is fantastic for making candles, especially container candles
  • Soya wax is fully washable, so it won't ruin clothes or furniture.
  • By using soya wax for your candles, you are supporting the environment by not using paraffin wax
  • Soya wax is renewable and sustainable, and also fully biodegradable

How will my soya wax come packaged?
Your soya wax will come packaged in a clear resealable pouch. There will be a small label to identify the contents, an invoice and not much more. We have reduced the complexity of our packaging to provide a no-frills service at a fantastic price, which means that you pay for the quality of the product, not the packaging.

How should I use my soy wax?
Soy wax is perfect for natural container candles, and holds fragrance from essential oils well.

To add colours:
For powder colours, heat the soy wax to 88C before adding and then mixing until dissolved. For liquid colours, colour blocks, chips or no colours at all, heat your soya wax to between 71.1 and 93.3C - however do not heat beyond this temperature.

Adding fragrance:
Soy wax takes fragrance well, the recommended maximum usage level in your candles is 6%. To minimise scent loss, add your fragrances at about 57C

Wicking:
Soya wax requires larger wicking than paraffin. Paper cored, cotton cored or metal cored wicks should be avoided as they tend to cause sooting or carbon build-up in your candles

Pouring:
Soya wax can be poured between 48.9 and 73.8C. Try not to pour at high temperatures such that the wax remains liquid for 30mins or more after pouring. Soya wax is designed to adhere to glass containers, so slower cool times are beneficial. Candles should be cooled at about 21C, uncovered for at least 12 hours before test burning

Note: your own test temperatures is recommended to achieve the desired result.
