17 Total Booklets. This counts each booklet when there are multiple booklets for a specific set (numbered w/ 1, 2, etc). This also counts duplicate/identical booklets for the same set--if so, I try to group them in the photo so they are easy to notice. 

To be clear: THERE ARE NO LEGO PIECES IN THIS ITEM, just the manuals you see pictured.

Please examine the photo by zooming in and you should be able to see exactly what is there by set number. At times, there may only be some of books for a specific set (but not all books that go to that set). I try to group them together when they go to the same set so it's easy to see.
