ORIGINAL 1979 DIAMOND JUBILEE: A CELEBRATION of the 75th ANNIVERSARY OF NEW YORK SUBWAYS GEORGE GERSHINOWITZ POSTER

This is really a wonderful original.  New York City, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, 1979, Poster.  This is a scarce original 1979 Diamond Jubilee poster from the 75th Anniversary of New York Subways poster.  Poster shows the history of the different types of subway cars from New York as they have evolved over the last 75 years, prior to 1979.  Poster measures 36 x 24 inches and is in good condition.  Poster shows horizontal lines from slight crushing while being rolled.  Top area shows a slight darkening of the cream background.  A few edge tears and wrinkles.  Most issues would be removed with framing or poster could very easily be laid on linen for complete preservation.  Unframed. Only other example I am able to find is in the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York.    Poster is stored in tube and will be shipped that way.  FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES.
