The catalog states for Tile-Tex Asphalt Floor Tile, "It's made from wear-defying, fire-resisting asbestos fibre, tough asphaltic binders, and fade-resistant color pigments. It will last for many years under the heavy usage you give your kitchen. It's the only type of resilient flooring that will perform satisfactorily in damp basement areas. For bathrooms and reception halls, its resistance to moisture is a boon to the housewife."
