Description

The Big Four Railway - the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad (CCC&StL), connected the four named cities and had trackage in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois; it was acquired by the New York Central Railroad in 1922, and its surviving lines are now operated by both Norfolk Southern and CSX.

For auction is a pass from the CCC&StL for the year 1903. It was issued to an officer of the Southeastern Freight Association. The pass, which measures appx 4 x 2 1/2 inches, is printed on medium-weight cardstock. It is in good condition, in spite of being over 110 years old. It has no rips or tears, and all writing/markings are from its issuance and use. It shows minimal wear.

A nice item for the Big Four or New York Central collector.
