1969 Vintage Photo aerial view of huge water tank carrying three barges slides up 0.9 mile ramp at Ronquieres, Belgium.  System, which generates its own power, speeds up canal traffic.  The Ronquieres Inclined Plane is a Belgian canal inclined plane on the Brussels-Charleroi Canal in the province of Hainaut in Wallonia that opened in April 1968 after a six-year construction period.
