Block size:
Large - 4cm x 4cm x 4cm

These blocks are awesome for seasoning and will season many pans as they are super concentrated and you only need a very small amount. The ingredients all have a high smoke point and once seasoned you will only need a touch of one of these bars to a hot pan and it will produce enough to do an oven season. Each bar will last a very long time, the hardest part [apart from our hard bars!] is using the least amount possible! [tip; you can scrape a small amount of the block with a knife to create a shaving and this helps you not use too much...spread around a hot pan with a lint free cloth. If you are in a warm climate it may help to refrigerate the bar before shaving as it will make the process easier and you will shave less off the block].

They produce a natural non stick coating using oils that have a high smoke point.

They are hand made and wrapped in lint free cotton that can be used to season the pans.
Not vegan as they include beeswax - sourced 5kms from where we live!
There are no low grade oils in the bars [canola, sunflower, palm etc]. There are no animal fats either....

Best stored in the fridge.

Ideal for all cast iron.
Particularly good for all AUS-ION by Solidteknics

Available in various sizes.
It will depend on whether you are doing the first season on a new pan or stovetop seasoning on a well used pan. The initial seasoning will use a lot more. On a first season we used 1/4 to 1/3 of the small bar on a 26cm frying pan as an example.
If you are needing a bar for more maintenance the small bar will last a while but if you have a lot of pans you may want more. When I stove top season a well used pan I only use a millimetre of the block.... you really don't need much.

There are many ways to go about the whole process.

It's worth noting that seasoning does get better with time especially if you are cooking foods like bacon with a lot of fat to render. Once you have built up good seasoning it gets better and better. Hot water [no detergent] with something like a coconut scrubber or similar [not plastic as it will melt if you have just taken it off the stove - these pans hold their heat like nothing else] just on the inside, tip out and dry it then on the stove to fully dry it. Also add a tap of one of these blocks, wipe and a short burn off of the oil [this is a quick stovetop season]. Setting these pans up well initially will have you changing what you are cooking just so you can use the pans.

You can not beat these blocks for stovetop seasoning. Each time once cooking and cleaning [as above] has finished, do a stovetop season....each time until you are happy with the thickness of your seasoning.
