Reading with Phonics, Hay-Wingo, 1960, Lippincott.

- 1st Edition (deduced)

- 6.3 x 8.7 inches approx., 128 pages; hdbk.

- has a super-tough library-type binding (but this was not a library book)

- Note:  a nearly complete phonics-based reading program.  Phonically regular (pronounceable) sounds are introduced in the best order, and students "drill" to gain fluency, and then read in sentences and then in short stories.  Supplementary practice collections of short stories are adviseable, but this one book is the core of a complete program.  It has made readers of tens of thousands of children who had been failing.

Condition:
Very Good Condition for this vintage phonics-based reading program.  Cover shows a little rubbing at top end of spine...otherwise looks great.  Hinges/binding are strong/tight.  No owner name, and no library marks.   Interior is clean, without tears, folds, stains, or marks.  Paper is strong and supple.  Collectible.
