History as I remember: The Gitane Interclub model was an early 1970s starter racing bike often supplied with sewup tires (700c size) and aluminum cranks later on. Many came with 27 inch clincher tires as well. The bike was noted as a cut above the basic models as it was built with French Durifort Lightweight tubing. This was very thin good lightweight tubing but not nearly as prestigious as the Reynolds 531 or Columbus used on the upper range models. The forks may also be made of Durifort but if not they do utilize seamless lightweight tubing unlike Peugeot and other similar brands of the era. A cut above.
Very light at just 780 grams.
145 mm steerer tube /45 mm threaded
