BEAUTIFUL HARD TO FIND FRITZ HECKERT JODHPUR CORDIAL OR SHOT GLASS!

Impressive Fritz Heckert small cordial or shot glass in the Jodhpur range, fine polychrome translucent enameling with gilded highlights. Some information indicates that these patterns were initially made for the Islamic market, but other confirmed references indicate that the patterns had their origin in the Jodhpur region of India.  Later, of course, they became popular in the western markets. Fritz Heckert produced probably the best enameling work of any Bohemian or German glass house. They produced until 1923. Base bottom has a ribbed open interior which may indicate that it was meant as a shot glass or shot measuring device perhaps. Lovely addition to any collection! No chips or mars noted. Measures in at 3 & 5/8" tall overall. Ask questions if you have them...will be carefully packed and shipped promptly upon confirmation of your payment.
