Purchased from an art fair this is the second print from a limited edition run of only 20. The print has never been unwrapped, framed or hung and has been stored flat and not exposed to light.

This Dodo is part of an ongoing project by Edinburgh based artist, Patrizio Belcampo. Anticipated to take a number of years to finish, the end result will be a full Avian Alphabet. Hand screenprinted in a limited edition of of only 20, this print demonstrates the artist’s technical skill, eye for colour, composition and fondness for re-interpreting existing traditions. This fresh print series references the Victorian’s fascination of documenting and cataloging, whilst portraying a sense of debth, texture and movement from a minimal palette.

Patrizio was originally born in Ravenna, North-Eastern Italy but he has lived and worked in Edinburgh since 2003 and graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2011.
