This DVD (and any other DVD released anywhere in the world) will play just fine on any multi-region DVD player, bought in USA or elsewhere. It will also play on most computers' DVD drives. Some consumers actually own a multi-region DVD player, without knowing it. All you need to do if you own such Philips, Akai, CyberHome or other DVD player is to use your remote control to switch it to multi-region mode. As such features are almost always not documented by the DVD player's manufacturer, we'd recommend you check your DVD player's capabilities by searching the web for the words 'videohelp DVD Player and Blu-ray Player region codes' and choosing the very first link found.
For our USA customers, if you need an advise for a inexpensive ($30-$40) US DVD player, please feel free to contact us or to read our recommenations here: Our DVD player recommendations. Please keep in mind that we do not sell DVD players.

This DVD does not contain pornographic material and may be lawfully sold to and viewed by minors.

Synopsis:
In the melting pot of 1890s London, Sergeant Cork works for Scotland Yard's newly formed Criminal Investigation Department, enthusiastically employing the pioneering techniques of the new science of forensics to tackle crimes born of poverty and deprivation, passion, vengeance and greed. Ably assisted by youthful detective Bob Marriott, Cork is astute, years ahead of his time, and knows that even the most convincing evidence can all too often deceive. John Barrie and William Gaunt star in this richly atmospheric, meticulously researched police drama. Devised and co-written by Dixon of Dock Green creator Ted Willis, this set of four classic episodes sees Cork and Marriott tackling a mysterious abduction, deception, suspected murder, and more...

The complete fifth series of the early 1960s crime drama that follows the struggles of Sergeant Cork (John Barrie) to introduce the latest scientific detection techniques to the Metropolitan CID of the 1890s. Though the science of forensics is very much in its infancy, Cork believes greatly in its potential to catch criminals and fights an ongoing battle against his superiors to have the science used more widely throughout the force. Meanwhile, helped by his able assistant Bob Marriott (William Gaunt), Cork sets about proving the value of his methods by investigating a range of crimes including murder, blackmail and theft.

Sergeant Cork is a British detective television series which first aired between 1963 and 1968 on ATV. It featured a police procedural show which followed the efforts of two police officers and their battle against crime in Victorian London. In all 66 hour-long episodes were aired during the five year run.
