On it is a recording of Jupiter's long dead parents. This family-oriented German language mystery continues the exploits of The Three Investigators, Justas Jonas (Chancellor Miller), Peter Shaw (Nick Price) and Bob Andrews (Cameron Monaghan), a clique of young men glimpsed previously in 2008's Three Investigators and the Secret of Skeleton Island. This time around, Justas's parents have tragically died, but his mother and father left behind a trail of clues. The boys duly follow the path, which leads them to California and the heart of the formidable Terror Castle - a spooky old structure that conceals a secret beyond their wildest imaginations.
Clowns are usually the last people you'd suspect of committing crimes, so Jupiter, Pete and Bob - The Three Investigators - hardly pay attention when a clown sneaks into Jupiter's birthday party and tries to make off with something. Though they don't catch the clown, they retrieve his booty: it's a tape of Jupiter's parents, who died several years earlier. The only thing that's clear in the garbled tape is that Jupiter's parents were also investigators, and on the trail of something big... Jupiter vows to solve the mystery his parents were working on. |
