This switch repairs strumming issues for PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii Guitar hero guitars that are:
- Kramer
- GH3 Les Paul
- Guitar Hero 5 (red and white faceplate)
- Warriors of Rock (has 3 prongs but only uses 2, so this switch works)
There may be others not listed that are generic guitars and if it looks like this switch it will work.
Simple Repair Instructions
- Step 1: Remove Neck and Faceplate
- Step 2:
Remove Screws 11 torx screws (T10) on body of guitar using torx
screwdriver.
- Step 3:
Open Guitar by Splitting Case Halves Apart. Examine switch button
circuit board to determine which switch is strum up and strum down.
- Step 4: Unscrew 4 corner screws on the Switchbutton Circuit Board.
- Step 5: Desolder & Remove Old Switch using soldering iron and desoldering pump (recommended).
- Step 6: Solder in New Switch
- Step 7: Reassemble Guitar
