Brand new, Whip Racing Carbon Fiber Drive shafts.  Designed to fit most 1/10th scale RC cars and included with nearly all Tamiya and Team Associated Radio controlled models over the years.

Note: Auction is for 1 Carbon drive shaft only (or set of 4 dog-bones).  Car chassis is not included.

Brand new in the package, WHIP Racing Innovations NTC3 Hollow Carbon Fiber Center Drive Shaft, with green tips (very rare).  I made these drive shafts for my own TC3 back in 2004 and found it offered a great improvement in rotating mass and improved acceleration/top speed.  I stopped making them in 2008.

Replaces the stock Team Associated NTC3 Blue Aluminum Drive Shaft,  part #1712

Auction is for the one NTC3 drive shaft only.  Car chassis is not included.

Brand new in the package, WHIP Racing Carbon Fiber Center Drive Shaft Losi Mini 8ight T, with red tips.  Replaces the stock Losi drive shaft, part # LOS212000.  The drive shaft was shortened 1.5mm to prevent damage in a crash, which is common on these cars.  Aluminum tips are red.

Also included are the stock losi mating parts.

Please note: Image of packaged part shows silver tips, but the item for sale has green tips.

Hollow Carbon Fiber Drive Shafts

Finally a light weight drive shaft for the TC3 / TC4 that will not bend or flex.  The lightest, stiffest drive shaft on the market.  Will not flex at high speed like Team Associated composite shaft (discontinued) or the replacement aluminum shaft included in the later TC3 kits.  A direct replacement for stock or aftermarket shafts.  Constructed from anodized aluminum tips with a 100% pure hollow carbon fiber center section attached using ultra strong epoxy.  A direct replacement for the original center drive shaft – no modifications required.  The ultimate set up for Stock and 19T turn racing.  Not recommended for use with low turn modified motors, although extensive testing with modified motors as low as 8T and foam tires was performed without issues to the drive shafts. Below are a few quotes from racers who have tested the drive shafts under extreme conditions:

“Hey Guys,
I have been testing the shafts in a modified touring car and it has held up fine so far. It has been run in many applications, Mod Foam TC with an 8X1, stock foam tc, stock rubber tc. It has not broken and has shown very few signs of wear on the tips that go into the cups on the input shafts. It looks like these should be ready to go for just about any application.”

Stephen Sobottka (Wisconsin) - team driver and Cleveland Indoor Champ’s Class winner

“Hi all. Last weekend we raced in a high banking, indoor bicycle oval track. Due to driver error we crashed our TC3. We broke our right hand side suspension, but the shaft survived and is still running true!! During the crash the car was doing +/- 90 km/h. The centre drive is still running perfectly true and makes the car run quieter and faster. The aluminum center shaft is very poor poor quality and we're very happy with our new carbon fibre ones!!”

-Johannes Voerman (Netherlands) - running insane speed runs with a TC3

“I bought one of the shafts for my bj4, and I am having no problems with it. Works great. Yes the buggy has a upper deck thought, but regardless it handles a novak velocity 6.5 powered by the orion lipo with ease.”

-Andrew Sarratore (Indiana)
