Product Description

This is an External Outer LCD Screen Repair part For the NIKON D300 

The external glass protective cover for the LDC screen on your camera is easy to replace, simply remove the old damaged glass, clean off any residue adhesive from the body and install the new replacement acrylic repair part.

Features:

This glass repair part is protected on the outside surface with an outer film and the inside surface perimeter has a line of double sided tape which is protected with backing paper.

Installation Advice.

Please note; there is plenty of advice online to help you to install this screen, we will not accept any responsibility for bad technique or poor installation of this part.

How to remove old glass:

First heat the perimeter of the screen with a hairdryer for about 1 minute to soften the adhesive, then using a thin plastic business card or similar tool slide around the edge of the screen to loosen and remove it, you may have to work at this a few times re-heating the screen until the glass comes loose, it is better to take your time with this to avoid breaking the old glass.

Do not pull or use fingernails to lift the four corners of the screen protector as it may break the glass protector, hurt your fingers and/or damage the camera.


How to install new acrylic glass:

Once the glass has been removed clean all of the adhesive residue from the LCD border, pay attention not to leave dirt or fingerprints on the LDC.

Now remove the backing paper from the new acrylic glass screen being careful not to mark the inside and place it over the LCD screen, tear off the protective outer film, replacement complete.
