One (1) vintage wood-handled craft knife, the "Gem Knife", model #5041, manufactured by Naz-Dar Ink in the 1950s. This rare piece is in Very Good or better condition, with visible signs of rusted metal and light wear (see pics), well preserved for its age. Item measures 5 3/4 inches in length. Featured is a hobby knife with triangular metal blade and base, with long black narrow wooden handle firmly attached. The metal is slightly corroded from longtime storage and a small paint stain can be seen on the handle. Otherwise the item is near-pristine, very sturdy and functional. The original green paper storage sleeve is torn. BONUS: An extra knife (perhaps from another maker back in the day?) with different size/style blade is included, in similar condition as the other! TRIVIA: The ink company was known for many products, but their short-lived The Gem tool, pre-dating the now-common X-Acto brand's line of trimmers, was only in brief production and samples of which are very hard to find nowadays. A true rarity!

Please see accompanying photos for detail. Observe the soda pop can in one image, for size-comparison purposes. This outstanding keepsake would make a great gift for the collector on your special list or a fine way to complete your own collection of fine rarities.
