Grew and collected in Florida.

Place them on top of the soil; then cover with one inch of soil. Plants will sprout quickly.

To plant outside, place the peanut seeds two inches deep and eight inches apart in loose, well-drained soil.

How Peanuts Grow
Unlike most plants, the peanut plant flowers above the ground, but fruits below ground.
From planting to harvesting, the growing cycle of a peanut takes 4 to 5  months, depending on the type and variety.

Each plant produces between 25 and 50 peanuts.
Mature plants may be as large as 36 inches in diameter and about 18 inches tall.
The peanut plant has a fruiting period of about two months. All pods do not "set" or ripen evenly.
