RTL-Box-3

Temperature limiter for underfloor heating.

Imagine a little box with a glossy-white plastic front, like a tiny control center for your warm floors. That box holds a few key things:

  • A round control knob with a sensor (like a tiny thermometer) - This is the heart of the system, it keeps an eye on the temperature of the water returning from your underfloor heating pipes.
  • A special valve - This valve controls the flow of warm water, making sure it doesn't get too hot for your comfort.
  • A separate control setting - This setting lets you fine-tune how warm the water gets in the pipes, keeping your floors at a pleasant temperature.
  • A small air vent - This tiny vent helps keep the system running smoothly.

The whole thing gets installed on the pipe that carries the used water back from your underfloor heating. The clever control knob with the sensor makes sure the water stays at a safe temperature, and the other control setting lets you adjust it for your comfort. There's also a separate knob that sticks out of the box - that one senses the air temperature in the room and turns on the heating when it gets a bit chilly!

So, this little box and its parts work together to keep your underfloor heating nice and toasty, but at a safe and comfortable level.

Operation description:

The temperature limiter is mounted on the return, the RTL is a self-acting regulator for regulating the return flow temperature of the heater. The water temperature is transferred to the valve sensor. If the temperature set on the head is lower than the water temperature, the regulator closes the flow, if the temperature is higher, the regulator opens flow.
The return temperature limiter is used to limit the return flow temperature of the heater in heating systems combining underfloor heating and radiators. When installing floor heating to the radiator installation, it is necessary to lower the temperature of the water reaching the underfloor heating with the help of a temperature limiter.
RTL is used to limit the temperature of the underfloor heating system in systems not exceeding 20 m2. The use of a temperature limiter eliminates the need for a mixing valve and an additional circulation pump.
