Replacement Motor Run Capacitor for Earlier Rega Planar Turntables

Also suitable for other turntables that need a 0.22uf capacitor.

These fit in the space, the original capacitor being 17mm tall and this one is 12mm.

The capacitors can fail with age and the turntable will stop turning.  It's sometimes possible to see damage to the casing of the old capacitor where the capacitor has swelled up, or it may smell burnt.

This is a good quality X2 Safety Polypropylene Film type capacitor made by Kemet, not a cheap Chinese part.  It is a drop in replacement.

The original capacitor may be marked as 0.22uF (microFarads), it also can be marked as 220nF (nanoFarads).  220nF is the same as 0.22uF

If the capacitor has a different value marked on, for example 0.33uF or 0.1uF, this is not the correct part.

Specifications:
Capacitance: 0.22uf
Tolerance: +/- 10% (being a decent make the ones I have tested have been more like +/- 3%)
Dimensions: 18mm Wide x 12mm High x 6mm Thick
Lead Length: 30mm (I have sourced capacitors with long leads to help with placement on other turntables where the capacitor is soldered on tags not a circuit board)
Lead Spacing: 15mm (leads are long enough to fit boards with smaller or wider spacing of leads)
Max Voltage Rating: 275VAC
