BASIC JAPANESE IN 1000 WORDS
Japanese Made Easy For Speaking And Writing
With Grammar Reader Dictionary

By Kochi Doi (aka Doi Kochi, see important clarification below)
Professor of English Literature in the Tohoku Imperial University

This document/item lists Doi Kochi as the author . . . however, in historical references and publications by him, his name is Kochi Doi.  Prominent Japanese/English educator who was the author/co-author of more than nine language books and publications.

Of reading the Foreword by the author, this two-sided fold-out pamphlet (measuring approximately 12 1/8" by 9 1/4") appears to be a benchmark teaching system / method for Japanese children and English-speaking people to learn the Japanese language.

For validation of this milestone work by Professor Kochi Doi, please read the attached enlarged photo of the inclusive  "Letter Of Recommendation"  written by the prominent and published language author E.V. Gatenby, Professor of Higher Commercial School - Fukushima and Imperial University - Sendai.

In researching about this item, I was able to find reference of only one copy at World Catalogue held by a library in Germany.   Therefore, it is suggested the limited availability of "Basic Japanese in 1000 Words"  of 1935 be considered a unique vintage collectible.  Would make a valued addition to an academic library or collector seeking to acquire an exceptional Japanese / English language learning tool from the era of 1930's Japan.

This item has no tears or creases (other than the original folds) and has slight aging blemishes as can be seen on the attached photos, please carefully review.  Used very good condition.   Rare and Unique.  Please message Seller with any questions.
