Merrie Taverna (that would be ME!). I have always loved to create and since

2006 I had the privilege to teach art in a private school to Kindergarteners

through 8th grade. I found my relationship to my students to be a reciprocal

one—they inspired me—and I inspired them to find their creative voice.

Because of them, I found myself more and more immersed in creating with a

variety of media, which I found very exciting. I’ve done over an hundred

charcoal portraits of athletes; worked with watercolors, making personalized

invitations; experimented and painted with acrylics, oils and mixed media. I have since retired and am realizing my dream of being a professional artist.

This OIL painting is on 3/4” stretched canvas, comes ready to hang and is unframed. Photographed in different lighting so you can see the beauty.
