The bike came with a standard road bike seat - which is thin and hard. Our butts suffered even when wearing padded riding shorts. The seat is just about the same size as what is on the spin bike. It does soften the hardness of the spin bike seat but it does not make it much wider. If you are looking for something with lots of padding look elsewhere. This feels very much like a regular bike seat.
