Beautiful oil on canvas of a New England farm with a well in the foreground. By listed Dutch/American artist Peter Koster. While painting in America he was based in Rockport, MA where he had a permanent gallery. Rockport was one of the major enclaves of the well known New England artists. The total size is 20”x24”. It has been professionally framed, likely the original frame chosen by the artist. Great vintage condition, no issues with the painting at all. There is an original newspaper clipping attached to the back of the frame. It was recently given an auction estimate of $400-$500 by a prestigious Boston area auction house.
