This listing is for a rare vintage Redmon( RED-MAN Quality Baskets) Laundry Hamper . Although the label is missing I feel pretty confident that this is a Red-Man (Redmon) hamper.

The quality of Redmon baskets is apparent here with the beautiful condition this basket is still in after c. 80 years!!.. I date this basket to the 1940s-50s.. I believe the green is the original color, (I've seen others in this same green) and I believe the stenciling on the top is original.

These baskets were made very well, woven with double layer of wood splints (maple?). The lid is wood, as is the base. It sits up on four wood feet.  W.C. Remon Sons & Co of Peru, Indiana manufactured and sold these baskets.

Size: approx 27" tall , 21" wide, 12." deep. (slightly narrowing as it reaches the feet)

Condition: Very nice overall.  Clean, odor free,.  On the back there are mainly 2 spots where the top layer of the double wood splint has come off leaving the unpainted bottom wood layer showing.  A bit of matching paint from a craft store would make these spots disappear to the eye.

This is very large to ship..  I just ran costs to ship this from kansas to the coasts and the shipping for ups and fed ex is running nearly $100.  If you're midwest is would be less.  Local pick up would be great.

quick and careful shipping
non smoking
thanks!
