Photographer: Tibor Honty (Czech, 1907 - 1968) - Renowned and historically significant Czech photographer known
for his diversity of subject matter including artful photographs of
classic sculpture, candid street photography, abstracts and landscape
images. Honty was a leading figure in Czech photography from the 1940's through the mid 1960's. In the development of Czechoslovakian photography Tibor Honty ranks side by side with Josef Sudek and other leading representatives of this country's photographic art. Together with Josef Sudek and Josef Prosek, founded the photographic section of the Mánes Society of Creative Artists in Czechoslovakia after World War II.
