For your consideration is a large and rare carved wood sculpture of a Hindu, Vahana of Indra (the King of Gods) 7-headed horse. In Hinduism, this horse is know as "Uchchaihshravas". It measures 19" high, has a length of about 22" and a width of 7.5", and weights 12 pounds 8 ounces. As shown on the photos, one of the hoof is chipped, there are some cracks (e.g. a crack on a leg, a crack on the body, near the tail, one of the back). The tail is also damaged and affixed with a couple of nails and there are nicks around the hoof. Additionally, there are consistent signs of wear on the hand painted decoration which is faded. This horse comes from the estate of a South Florida's collector of Asian antiques. Please take a closer look at all posted photos for details.
