ABOUT US:

We are “Nazar Drums” Workshop from Moldova, for the moment with 3 shop members. We are new on Ebay; however, we have over 10 years of experience making all kinds of drums and other musical instruments. We are still building African djembes and shamanic goatskin drums, but our main drums for 3 years now have been shaman vegan drums, with printable plastic membrane. And this change hasn’t only been because of our choice – it has also been the choice of “Nazar Drums” customers, they appreciate the vegan drums a lot (for now there are around 140 vegan shaman drums happy owners in Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania).  They choose shaman vegan drums as they have many advantages - 

VEGAN SHAMAN DRUM ADVANTAGES:

i) 100% vegan instrument:

for many people, the fact that no animal product is utilised in my drums is an important consideration. I've been building goat skin drums since 2009, but I realised that for me it is also much easier for the spirit by not making instruments with that karma. 

ii) sound:

sincerely, for me, the sound you get from a plastic membrane is just as deep and sometimes even deeper, than that from any goat-skin drum. The sound is so deep and low that it is good to use for healing and sound massage. iii) stable and consistent sound at any temperature:

now you don’t have to worry about the temperature, in contrast to a goatskin drum which is susceptible to changes in temperature. The shamanic vegan drum is more comfortable and practical to keep and play, so enjoy playing it – it will have a good sound anytime and anywhere.

iv) weight:

it's very light, weighing only 800-1200 grams. It is very comfortable to play for any length of time without getting any pain in the shoulders.

v) water-resistant: 

every drummer or shaman musician has had this pain when playing outdoors – rain or fog. From now on, you can forget about this as your vegan membrane is safe from the effects of water.

vi) tuning:

It's not heavy and has a beautiful look because of the printing, and can be used by different people in different ways:

•  It’s wonderful for meditations, sound massage, healing sessions, and spiritual practice.

• It makes a perfect yoga gift: a gift for a young yoga woman, a gift for a spiritual person, or a yoga teacher. It looks nice to have such a beautiful instrument in any yoga studio.

• For jamming and making music everywhere: the vegan shaman drum is an exceptional ethnic frame drum with a tunable spectrum of notes from A to D. MATERIALS OF THE DRUM AND WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SET:

• the wooden frame part of the drum is made from many layers of veneer. To keep it light, we don't put too many layers, but it's strong enough;

• the handle is fixed within the rope giving the possibility for the entire body of the drum to vibrate – this is important in making a deeper sounding drum;

• for the membrane, I use a special kind of plastic – I tried many different types until I finally found one which was the most durable and gave the best sound too;

• a stick for playing (shaman beater) is included in the set, made from acacia or linden wood. For the soft material, I use faux fur (synthetic wool), and so that it is also vegan;

• the small metal tuning hex key is included in the set too;

 The processing time for your instrument is 1-2 business days. During this period, after the order is placed, your instrument will be ready to be sent. For orders with personalization, it may take an additional 1-3 days. We dispatch instruments from our village every Thursday, in accordance with new export regulations in Moldova. Therefore, the time between when you place the order and when we send it can be between 1-5 days, depending on the day your order was placed.

The specific drum that you see in the photo has been sold. However, we can make the same drum again.
Of course, due to the availability of raw materials, there will be small differences from drum to drum, things like the colour of the drumstick or the colour of the material on the side of the frame drum body. However, the main things like the wooden drum body and the resulting sound are stable characteristics for all the drums. All the work is done to a professional level and the best quality.
