All 8-track tapes are sold STRICTLY as collector’s items with NO guarantee concerning their operating condition unless picked up in person. They were never intended to travel through the mail, which can result in the tape un-spooling, something over which I have no control. I generally do not “splice test” them. So in rare cases, a tape might separate when it hits the splice and foil strip. Break out the screwdriver and the Scotch Tape!
