You are purchasing an original sepia, real-photo postcard (RPPC). The location is unknown.

SUBJECT: Two men pose on an outdoor pond in their speed skating outfits and skates. Speed skating was first in the Olympics in 1924. These images were taken around 1905-10. Each image is cropped and hand tinted to be used in a publication. The man in the cropped image must have been the top American. The post mark says it was taken in New York, possibly Lake Placid.
DATE: Circa 1905-10.
CAPTION: One has an address to "Mr. and Mrs. E. Staff, 3912 N. Monticello Ave, Chicago, Ill."
CONDITION: The crop marks are white with some gray paint. There are six pin holes in one postcard.  There's soiling from age/dirty fingers on the front and back.
