Very Old Dutch Beads
Qty 9
As on the cover of research book "A handbook on BEAD's" by W.G.N van der Sleen.
These beads have all the characteristics of being super old. The somewhat rough
appearance. The White design layer is starting to chalk and is started to slightly
yellow. Both are also signs the beads may have been buried. These are not the
smooth bright beads with paper white designs. Great for Historical use. Beads
like this have been found at numerous 1600's and 1700's sites. PS. the
term "Potash" beads was derived from the chemical analysis of
excavated beads that showed a high amount of Potash was used in the glass.
