Funky Christmas
These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim.
This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. The HC book covers are in VG condition. Front cover has a slight fraying in the upper right corner and on the bottom. Back cover has minor scuffing damage. Art plates are sharp and clean. No marks or highlighting in text. Cover lies flat. Mostly color illustrations. 40 color plates with another 3 being black and white. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition, hardback.
This book is an ex-library book from back before people messed with other people's possessions. It has glued in bookplates, from the publisher, stating the book was donated to the High School from the Carnegie Corporation. There is a stamp and an ink Dewey number on the page after the publishing information. A few of the painting reproductions still have the protective paper over them (with some rips and nicks and notches missing from the protective paper). There is ageing on some of the paper, but NOT on the prints themselves. Truly excellent production. Pages 87, 88 and 89, 90 got bent at sometime in the past (see pictures). And, finally, there is a library card envelope with library card inside on the back inside cover. That is all that is wrong with this book.
Note: All artwork was hand-glued into the book. Beautiful reproductions. This could easily be sold as individual art prints. Also, please note: this book is written in German.
Also, please note: This book is extra heavy. It has 93 thick paper pages, reproductions glued to the paper, and in a few cases, protective paper on top of that. This book is at 1 1/2 inches thick including covers. This pushes up the weight, and into the next postal rate, to ensure safe shipping. Sorry!
Shipping – All books are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday on the first day possible after payment is received. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. We always refund shipping credit if you buy multiple items.
