This is RAKETA Russian Braille watch for blind people
Mechanical
movement RAKETA 260 1. H with 19 ruby jewels, hand-wound. The Braille
watch appears to use a chrome plated case with a snap-on stainless steel
back. The case measures 38 mm wide at its widest point (diagonally) and
is 34 mm directly across the face (37 mm with the crown). The lug width
is 18 mm.
To
use the Braille function, a button on the crown releases a spring
loaded hinge holding the crystal. The watch face has raised markers to
allow reading by touch.
Made in USSR 1970s by Raketa (Petrodvorets Watch Factory). The watch is running well and keeps correct time.
