This elegant, fitted silk cheongsam (qipao) dress is made of silk satin damask and dates from the early 1950s.  It was made in by the famed Dynasty tailors in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong.

Color: Soft mauve with floral accents in deep mauve, gold, rose and cream

Details:  

o   7” metal back zipper

o   13 1/2” metal side zipper

o   Side slits with frog closure

o   Form-fitting style with bust darts

o   Three hooks and eyes at back of collar

Condition:  A few small light stains that could probably be removed by dry cleaning.  

Otherwise in excellent condition.  Provenance is available.
