Operational Service Medal for Sierra Leone (2000 – 2003) Commemorative Cufflinks

These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with British Queen Elizabeth II Operational Service medals for Sierra Leone miniatures.  The pair of cufflinks are made from two genuine silver plated miniature medals showing both the obverse (Queen’s head) and reverse (the Union Flag with the four points of the compass each representing an armed force and the Royal family and the words ‘For Operational Service’) of the medals.  The British OSM for Sierra Leone medal was awarded to British Forces for the military intervention in Sierra Leone during 2000 - 03.  The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel and are 18 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of history and the beautiful miniature medals and ribbons have been carefully cleaned and mounted to retain some of the original character of the medals, whilst highlighting the beautiful details and date of these original medals.  

This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks.  They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
