Archival DVD – Trans Canada Airlines early years pamphlets and magazines

Compiled onto a DVD is a selection of scanned magazines and pamphlets from TCA (Trans Canada Airlines).  This was Canada’s first national airlines founded in 1937 and in 1965 renamed Air Canada, which is still operating to this day.

These scanned items would be perfect reference material for anyone who has an interest in TCA, or early aviation in Canada.

Included is FIVE copies of the employee magazine “Between Ourselves” dates between 1943 to 1944.  They give an insight to what was going on at the different stations, employees that were retiring, and events that were going on.  There are lots of photos of the aircraft/pilots/staff.

“Canada from the air” a traveling pamphlet, talking about the history of different parts of Canada and encouraging people to vacation.

“Flying Across Canada” encouraging people to want to fly to travel, showing the luxuries of aviation with TCA

“Radio Ranges” Probably the best gem of the DVD as this is what TCA and other pilots would have used to fly.  Very much like the CFS (Canada Flight Suplement) that pilots currently use, it gives information on different aerodromes that TCA operated out of.  It is great to see how airports have changed over the years.  Some are still in operation, where as others have been abandoned, redeveloped by expanding cities, or returned to farm land.

All pages have been professionally scanned from the originals that I have in my collection.  They have been digitally rotated cropped, and saved as JPG format for easy viewing.  Most items are in the original colour, the radio ranges manual has been turned monochrome for easy viewing or printing should you wish to do that.

As I am a collector of these manuals, I am always looking for more.  Should you have any ww2 RCAF/RAF material please contact me.
