I developed this service kit for the P38 and it works superbly. I have since found that the Range Rover sport MY 2005-2010 uses exactly the same spring and o ring for the internals. If you find the button sticks, fails to pop out, feels crunchy or fails to open the tailgate then the likelihood is the spring has rotted and the 'o' ring has gone hard and cracked and allows moisture into the button.

This kit allows you to keep your original button and fix the issues mentioned above. You might be able to source a second hand button but bear in mind the spring will be at least 14 years old.

The picture you see of the button above is from a P38 and shows what could lurk within.

My kit has featured twice in Landrover Owners international, the second had a two page spread. September and November 2018.

I have also made a video showing you how to change the spring and 'o' ring however it is for the P38. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-l5kQWoICE&t=27s

The spring is an upgrade to what was fitted as is the 'o' ring. The spring is stainless steel and the 'o' ring is nitrile rubber.

The price includes free 1st class post and between £3.25 and £4.20 for international buyers.
