WW1 Military Whippy Steggall & Co London Dark Brown Leather Cavalry Saddle Wallets

These are antique military saddle wallets made from supple dark brown leather with a canvas lining and fold-over flaps.

They are stamped with the maker under the flaps:
'Whippy Steggall & Co Ltd,
North Audley St. London'

'Whippy Steggall & Co limited were side saddle and saddle accessory manufactures that were established in 1782 and ceased trading in 1942'

Rare piece of WW1 history with a patina only achieved with age.
