Please note: the old dirty and dried up fluid must be  removed before a fresh charge of Silicone Oil can be applied!  The relevant photos serve as an aid to buyers.

Important: Disassemble and clean insides and all parts of the cue lift with alcohol. Then apply a very thin coat inside the mechanism. Remove excess and test a few times in succession. If the tonearm drops too slowly or not smoothly, you must clean again and apply less Silicone Oil! And if the tonearm drops too fast, you need to add some more silicone oil. The syringe contains enough oil for lots of attemps, because the cue lift is a bit tricky and personal tastes vary!  Approximately 2ml in syringe. As per various audio forums, 300k or 300000 cSt silicone oil to be used for smooth tonearm movement and improvement in performance. After years of use the original fluid has dried up or dust and dirt are causing the fluid to become more frictional. Cleaning and applying fresh fluid is advisable to see if the problem can be resolved. For comparisons sake, 200k cSt has more or less the consistency of honey and 1 cSt is the viscosity of water and the analogy here is like dropping a spoon in a glass of water or a pot of honey.....the spoon takes a long time to sink to the bottom in honey! Unless you are a repair shop, all you need are 2ml and not the whole big bottle. Therefore, I am selling off my surplus stock in an easy to apply syringe (a needle is not required nor is it convenient for the majority of cases) and small quantities that an enthusiast would need! For 100K, 300K (for a more slower drop or models of DUAL turntables)  and 500K (Sony, DUAL or heavy tonearms)  Silicone Oil, ask to exchange 300K for required viscosity and request a blunt needle if needed.  Please look at my other similar items for sale!
