Ilona Benkő was a talented student at Hungarian Academy of Craft and Design. Graduated in 1961. Apart from household ware and ornamental objects, makes wall covering materials and sculpted pieces, large ornamental vessels, using chamotte, porcelain, salt-glazed ceramic as materials and high-firing, reduction and oxidation firing as techniques.

You can meet her items in Hungarian and foreign museums, she has many works in public places and buildings. She had a lot of solo exhibitions and he took part many collective exhibitions.
