Tapping machines and equipment are shown in this catalog for four types of pipe.  These types of hardware were used for creating field connections to existing pipes.  Asbestos Cement pipe is one of the types of pipe that this hardware was used on.  Tapping or cutting of asbestos cement pipe could have created asbestos dust.

In the service fittings section the use of copper asbestos gaskets is mentioned. Service fittings refers to the connection to homes and businesses.

At least two sketches of fire hydrants call out the use of copper asbestos gaskets for seat rings.

The book is in FAIR condition!!  The book has moderate wear from use and has no dust jacket.   There are no locations of writing or highlighting of the text that I could find from a cursory review.  It's still a fair book with plenty of life left in it!!
