API Test Kits Ammonia Nitrate Nitrite pH KH GH Phosphate Freshwater Marine

Item Description

NITRATE TEST KIT

High nitrate levels in your aquarium indicate a build-up of fish waste and organic compounds, resulting in poor water quality and an increase in algae growth. Contrarily, maintaining a low nitrate level improves the health of fish and invertebrates.
Use the API NITRATE TEST KIT to ensure that the nitrate levels in your tank are safe and healthy for your fish. The NITRATE TEST KIT reads parameters from 0 to 160 ppm and may be used for both fresh and saltwater aquariums.

Contains 90 tests and includes 2 test solutions, easy-to-ready instructions, glass test tube and colour chart

PHOSPHATE TEST KIT

Phosphate can enter your aquarium through tap water, fish waste, and decaying organics such as uneaten food and dead algae. Excess phosphate contributes to unsightly algae and green water blooms, and in saltwater, excess phosphate can inhibit the growth of hard corals.

The API PHOSPHATE TEST KIT tests phosphate levels from 0 to 10 ppm so that you can easily monitor the condition of your aquarium water and may be used in both fresh and saltwater aquariums.

Contains 150 tests and includes 2 test solutions, easy-to-ready instructions, glass test tube and 2 colour charts

AMMONIA TEST KIT

The API AMMONIA TEST KIT measures ammonia to help prevent fish loss, as ammonia is the number one stressor and killer of tropical fish. Ammonia is released into an aquarium in the forms of uneaten food, decaying organic matter, and when fish release it through their gills, urine, and solid waste.

The API AMMONIA TEST KIT is a mercury-free, salicylate test for fresh and saltwater fish, and measures ammonia levels from 0 to 8 ppm.

Contains 130 tests and includes 2 test solutions, easy-to-ready instructions, glass test tube and 2 colour charts

GH & KH TEST KIT

When keeping freshwater fish and plants, the general hardness (GH) and carbonate hardness (KH) of aquarium water should match their natural habitat. The API GH & KH TEST KIT helps you duplicate the natural habitat of your fish to prevent stress, keeping them healthy!

Contains 2 test bottles, easy-to-ready instructions, and glass test tube

NITRITE TEST KIT

Nitrite is produced in the aquarium in the forms of fish waste, uneaten food, and by nitrifying bacteria in your aquarium’s natural cycle as it breaks down ammonia. Low levels of nitrite inhibit respiration and suppress the immune system, while high levels cause suffocation in fish. The API NITRITE TEST KIT reads nitrite levels quickly and accurately in your tank, and tests parameters from 0 to 5 ppm.

Contains 180 tests and includes 1 test solution, easy-to-ready instructions, glass test tube and colour chart

HIGH RANGE pH TEST KIT

The API HIGH RANGE pH TEST KIT measures pH changes in marine aquariums, aquariums with African Cichlids, and very alkaline tap water. The API HIGH RANGE pH TEST KIT reads the pH of water within the high range of 7.4 – 8.8, and includes one bottle of test solution and one test tube.

Contains 160 tests and includes 1 test bottle, easy-to-ready instructions, glass test tube and colour chart

pH TEST KIT

The API pH TEST KIT monitors pH to maintain healthy freshwater conditions in your tank. pH control is imperative to prevent the harmful effects of overly alkaline or acidic aquarium water on fish and plant life, so take a few minutes each week to maintain and monitor your pH conditions with this easy-to-use kit! Tests read pH from 6.0 – 7.6, and will help you quickly and easily determine whether your levels are too high or too low.

Contains 250 tests and includes 1 test bottle, easy-to-ready instructions, glass test tube and colour chart

KH TEST KIT

The API KH TEST KIT tests fresh or saltwater aquariums for carbonate hardness (KH), and helps monitor water quality and prevent invisible water problems that can be harmful to fish and plants. Carbonate hardness stabilizes aquarium pH, and can be used to determine the proper dose of pH buffers.

Contains 1 test bottle, easy-to-ready instructions, glass test tube and colour chart

COPPER TEST KIT

Copper, a common treatment for many parasitic infections, should be monitored if used in an aquarium or pond.

Tests copper levels from 0 to 4mg/litre or parts per millions (ppm).

For freshwater or marine aquariums.

CALCIUM TEST KIT

Calcium is one of the most important elements in a reef aquarium. Reef invertebrates such as corals, crustaceans, molluscs and even some types of encrusting algae need calcium to grow and remain healthy. Over time, calcium levels drop as invertebrates use calcium in aquarium water.

This kit allows you to easily and accurately measure calcium levels and maintain a healthy reef aquarium. Measures calcium levels as low as 20mg/L.

Uses titration method, with easy to see colour change for precise measurement.

For use in reef aquariums.

5 IN 1 TEST STRIPS

API 5 in 1 TEST STRIPS are the quick and easy way to test the 5 most important aquarium water parameters – pH, KH, GH, nitrate, and nitrite – in one easy step. Simply dip one test strip directly into the aquarium, and compare the colours on the strip to the colour card provided to help prevent invisible water problems that can be harmful to fish. Each kit includes detailed information on how to interpret the test results and correct unsafe water conditions.

100 Test Strips

AMMONIA TEST STRIPS

Use the API AMMONIA TEST STRIPS as the quick and accurate way to test for the presence of ammonia. Kit reads 0 to 6 ppm of ammonia, and alerts you to unsafe ammonia levels before they can harm fish or result in fish loss.
